Small Town Makes It Big in the NCAA Final Four - March 10, 2010
When the Men’s and Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association® basketball championships begin in mid-March, millions of Americans will be watching the athletes play on courts that started taking shape last September in a tiny town on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The town of Amasa, population 250, is home to a complex of four buildings housing one of the manufacturing operations of Connor Sport Court International. April 14, 2010—Connor Sports Flooring is pleased to announced the induction of a long-time Connor Sports Flooring employee into the Maple Flooring Manufacturers of America’s Hall of Fame.
For nearly 40 years Leonard C. Britten (Lynn) was Sales Manager of Connor Forest Industries. Mr. Britten started working as a teenager on weekends at the mill in Laona, WI loading boxcars with lumber and flooring for $.25 an hour. More >>
Connor Sport Court and the NBA join for the NBA All-Star Weekend Jam Sesion in Dallas-17th Year of Partnership - February 4, 2010
Connor Sport Court International (CSCI) will provide more than 65,000 square feet of Sport Court® products and a specially-constructed Connor wood portable floor as part of its partnership with the National Basketball Association’s All-Star Weekend Jam Session in the Dallas Convention Center Feb.11-13. The Jam Session runs in conjunction with the NBA All-Star Game, which will be held in the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington on Sunday, Feb. 14, with television airing beginning at 7 p.m.ET.
“The NBA Jam Session has selected Sport Court and Connor playing surfaces since 1993,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of the Utah-based sport flooring manufacturer. More >>
